Our mission is to make renovations, property services, and restoration in Japan a great experience for locals and foreigners alike. It is a very tough world and industry for foreigners, and can be expensive, and we make it easy, reasonable, and clear.
JRC was founded by a group of foreigners and locals within Japan who had both come from construction families and design schools, and who ran into lots of cold shoulders and closed-doors for the growing contingent of foreign artists, property investors, and business owners that started to mushroom around Japan in the early 2000’s. Today we deploy help teams and full property projects throughout the country, and have slowly come to enjoy rural projects as much as glitzy modern city gigs, modern Marie Kondo to Manhattan-esque or minimalist futuristic concepts as much as zen and traditional material Japanese historic-inspired designs.
We have been through 2 generations (and for some of us, 3 and pre-war) in the interior design and Japanese home (“kodate”) and apartment (“mansion”) business for 33 years. Our collective skills are more of the quality and cost control and making sure the projects come out consistently and clearly as satisfactory and costs-on-target as they should. We have a mix of artistic, supply chain business, political, trade school, and business school backgrounds.
We are legal and compliant under licensing laws to perform all renovation projects in Japan we take on, and in cases of mega-projects outside of our scope, we help refer other cost-effective and quality-geared affiliates in the industry. 80-90% of projects are within our purview to propose and perform.
